    At the upcoming AGM, a new management committee of the Association will be elected to replace the outgoing committee. The committee consists of three office holders (a president, vice-president, and treasurer) and such other persons as may be elected, with the proviso that the total number of committee members (whether office holders or general committee members) is not to exceed 12.

    On behalf of the Secretary, Notice is hereby provided that the Gold Coast District Law Association Inc. will hold its Annual General Meeting on 5 September 2025 at a luncheon commencing at 1pm and that at the luncheon, the following business and agenda items will be considered:-

    (a) receiving the association's financial statement, and signed statement, for the last reportable financial year;

    (b) presenting the financial statements and signed statement to the meeting for adoption;

    (c) electing members of the management committee;

    (d) if required by law to appoint an auditor, an accountant or an approved person for the present financial year at the annual general meeting, to appoint such person.

    All Association officeholder and committee positions are  declared vacant and made the subject of an election process annually at the point in time of the AGM.

    Nominations for officeholder positions are hereby invited, to reach the Secretary of the Association by email to 
    info@gcdla.com.au by no later than 11:59pm, Friday, 22 August 2025.

    Please use the nomination form which can be found on our website or be requested through email
     and send to info@gcdla.com.au for the attention of the Association's Secretary.

    In terms of voting on minutes and motions at the AGM, if you are unable to attend, please consider voting via proxy, which can be found by 
    clicking here.

    Your proxy form should be sent to the Secretary before the meeting.

    Upon the nominations closing, further correspondence from the Secretary will be issued.
